Cha-ching

The housing sale is now final ... and the profit comes in at $78215 and change.

Of course all of the proceeds went into the down payment on our new home, but it's still nice to know that we lived in a nice home for three years and was able to gain financially from it.

It feels good, too, to finally be unburdened by the dual mortgages. But it's so daunting to think about the new home and all the work that its ownership entails. Upgrades. Maintenance. Emergencies.

$$$

The final straw for my relationship with Bank of America is the roughly ten days it's taking for the check from the house sale to clear. I've been a good customer of their's for a few years now, but I won't be for much longer. Bye bye, BofA.
